Warehouses are large open buildings used for product storage and distribution. These buildings often have low occupancy levels but can be challenging environments due to the large size and racking throughout.

- Dock doors opening and closing frequently causes building pressure issues and excessive infiltration of untempered hot/humid or cold air, and outdoor air contaminants.

- A well-thought-out design mitigates these concerns by circulating mixed air continuously to prevent excessive heat loss at the ceiling. Positive pressure reduces infiltration of unconditioned outdoor air, and associate air contaminants. Introducing filtered, conditioned outdoor air continuously provides a high level of comfort & indoor air quality (IAQ). All of these practices ultimately save operating and maintenance costs.

Application Notes
There are many codes that apply to this application that must be taken into consideration, such as:
ASHRAE 62.1 defines the minimum required ventilation for a warehouse as 0.06 CFM/ft2 + 10 CFM/person. ANSI Z83.18 defines the maximum temperature rise for recirculating direct fired heaters based on the percentage of ventilation air to total supply air. IECC 403.2.3 - For new buildings with a conditioned floor area of 100,000 sqft or larger, a fault detection monitoring system is required to automatically identify faults.
